ᴍᴇᴍᴏʀʏ ᴄᴀᴘꜱᴜʟᴇ 01: “𝐻𝑒𝓁𝓁𝑜 𝒲𝑜𝓇𝓁𝒹” by kytten janae
It’s just so sad when an AI trying to access her memories. Are those memories real? Did she have a real past? Are the memories faked? If she has memories, does it make her a real human? If her memories are erased or she fails to access them, who is she? What is she?
Besides the futuristic female android character, ᴍᴇᴍᴏʀʏ ᴄᴀᴘꜱᴜʟᴇ 01: “𝐻𝑒𝓁𝓁𝑜 𝒲𝑜𝓇𝓁𝒹” has kytten janae’ recurring themes: sadness that cannot be expressed, a caged lonely character left with her memories that are no longer real, artificial pink sweetness, the forever separation between now and the past, between a lifeless interior and nature.
We all live in A simulation… by Mari.K

This is a genre of art I believe first time appeared on SuperRare, i.e. Voxel Art – made of 3D pixels/little cubes called “voxels”. Make sure to visit her website, you’ll see Mari.K is like a magician creating different universes out of imaginations, starting from the smallest unit – with amazing complexity and variety. You can imagine a whole world from a little cube. I want to live in them all.
The Sinner by oxeegeno
The half cut heads are oxeegeno’s signature figures. This piece is so emotionally expressive – a very strong sense of torture and tension. It’s enabled both by the intense contrast between bright red at the center and the complete darkness around, and by how the faceless figures strangle the only one with a face at the center, pulling him, condescendingly looking at him, judging him, pointing at him, tearing him apart. This is the artist fighting with his demons – guilts.
Split by Thomas Stokes III
Definitely one of my favorite artists lately! Have a look of his Twitter to learn more about him. There’s a very quiet yet strong power in Thomas Stokes III’s works. Usually they focus on what happens around human heads, exploring emotions, identity (splits), consciousness/sub-consciousness, facades, inner tortures & struggles. With very bland colors, he can yet always convey something deeply disturbing by portraying a very quiet presence. The influence of his background in traditional acrylic paintings is obvious. As a result Thomas Stokes III’s style is very different from the majority of digital/crypto art, the successful transition from traditional to digital while keeping his original style & authenticity is invaluable imo.
BABEL-1 by niko4696
As an artist whose works “capture industrial environments,” niko4696 has a very distinctive style (influenced by Japanese culture) in his approach to a futuristic world building. Here are some contexts provided in his tweets:
Concept: I was experimenting with modeling pipes because compositionally I can treat them as though they’re wide brush strokes and I wanted to create abstract “paintings” using that method. This eventually led me to start a large worldbuilding project.
Inspiration: Classic manga, like that of Otomo Katsuhiro and Nihei Tsutomu. I love how timeless and impactful the style looks and how the fine linework helps accentuate small details. So with much trial and error, I developed a unique render style that emulates that look.
Synesthesia by Kreature Kastle
A piece about synesthesia, a superpower many talented artists have. This is how they emerge themselves in their super sensitive and active sensory cognition, a universe in itself. This is also why we love art, in the maximized sensory experience we see colors, we hear music, our imagination runs wild and infinite. In them we find stories, feelings, companions, adventures and fantasies.
Iwazaru’s Silence by Vini Naso

A piece connecting the past with the future, a future that evokes the deeply buried human instincts from the beginning of time. It’s post-human and primitive, coldly metal and folkloric at the same time. It’s connected to a force latent in the mystical darkness as well as a force of universe that’s to be uncovered. It’s “time agnostic” and “timeless”.
F.A.C.E.S. by zaidkirdsey

This is a very refreshing piece to see in the cryptoart world. It’s instantly impressive not only because of the brilliant use of colors on a crowded bunch of 2D characters, but also because of its combination of both graffiti and Japanese anime/pop culture influences. It’s a piece that you feel truly “contemporary” – the visual language is so familiar to us, and therefore so powerful and communicative. Aided by zaidkirdsey’s genius use of colors, fluid shapes, a variety of characters all come to life each being unique in their own way. It’s a room filled with friends the artist finds in art, they might be imaginary, but they are always there, being with him through all the highs and lows.
Attach me to you by Milton Sanz
Milton Sanz struck me as one of the few artists in the crypto art scene that express a very strong sense of “authenticity” in his works. They are often very autobiographical and self-exposed. As a result as the audience you can feel the emotions embedded in a piece in a very visceral and direct way. You feel the vulnerability of the artist being self-reflective and honest. Milton Sanz has great ability to tackle both person vs. environment and person vs. his/her inner world. “Attach me to you” belongs to the series exploring darkness and solitude. The protagonist is “attached” to the wolf spider (as I believe) a species that live mostly in solitude and hunt alone.
Cherry on top by vic_wii
This one is just so cute! I feel happy after watching it. The sweetness of the dessert, the jumpy cherry character, and a dreamy cute cafe brought me a lot of joy <3
