Well, two years in the crypto space or even on the Internet in general are like two years in real life. Everything here is fast. But I don’t feel old yet, being an artist on SuperRare for exactly 2 years on March 31st 2021.
Artwork Number 1 was minted at 10:10 AM and back then I had no idea what was going on. I heard from a co-worker that there is this new thing called “CryptoArt” and SuperRare is the number one platform for that.
There were around 100 Artists max. In those days an X-Copy art cost like 90 USD.
When I started I created fractals, 3D fractals with the data of ETH Blocks and named the artworks after the blocks. So “BLOCK 7839556” was my first minted artwork – and got sold for 0.35 ETH (93 USD).
Since then, many things happened. SuperRare got bigger and way more popular, I minted close to 100 artworks and learned a lot of new things. I built a community and friends. Great.
Now it is time for the next step: Artwork Number 100
This artwork was minted exactly 2 years or 730 days after my first artwork and it represents the past.
It will be auctioned off and all proceeds will go towards a gift for my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary – happening on June 11th.
So basically you, the collectors, are deciding what the present will look like: a box of chocolate or a rolex 🙂
