The beginning of an inevitable process

Victor Mosquera’s world exists totally in another dimension, a place where extraterritorial intellectual beings travel through second, third, forth dimensions like we travel through air. The use of colors is reminiscent of moebius’ light color palette – ethereal, surreal, glowing and lit up by stars brighter than our sun (and which gives “unnatural” colors to light and shadow). The colossal head is like a giant stone head from our ancient time. But in this world it’s a sign of alien civilization on another planet of a different timeline. And in the end all disappears into pure colors.

WintEagle’s art often has one color dominating the mood, in this case it’s some color grading along green-blue-purple-pink which unites and wraps up this dreamy, surreal world where things are out of proportion or exist in illogical, nonfunctional way. The sky is illuminated by a cosmic light seemed to be devouring everything, including the small human figure running toward it.

theinternetoffice’s still life always has a strong sense of stillness and composure in it. Things are self-contained and self-sufficient. Therefore though the objects theinternetoffice chooses to portray are always light, delicate and elegant, they have the substantial quietness and sureness in their very beings. In this case, it’s a “parasitic architecture.” Once again theinternetoffice gives the micro (even the erosive) the firmness and structure of an “architecture,” and surrounds it with calm peacock blue.

Love Totemical’s recent digital marble sculptures remind one of the Ancient Greek & Rome. (And yes the piece is about Hippocrates.) To be more specific, they are more like Hellenistic sculptures which emphasize on expressive movement, realistic anatomy, and ornate details. Multiple human bodies bend themselves rather expressively to achieve the overall balance and symmetry of the whole sculpture. In the middle Hippocrates is solemnly floating like a Christ figure. He’s wearing a mask, a sign of our time rather than the typical depiction of Hippocrates.

Another beautiful piece in the “Electric Nature” series. If you wonder why such a beautiful nature has anything to do with “electric,” see interview where he said “You have to think that right now we have some friction between devices and humans. But with time, that friction will disappear to the point where the word digital will be disused.” Or tweet “Once we get rid of that friction, there really will be no separation between the digital and the physical. In fact, the word ‘digital’ will be a lofi concept.” So Reisinger Andres has a grander agenda when he creates these series: to advocate for a future where the digital aren’t in conflict with what’s natural. On the contrary, they can be perfectly at peace and in harmony with each other, a future that would be as beautiful as the world imagined in his art.

“Turn on, tune in, drop out” a counterculture-era phrase framed and popularized by Timothy Leary in the 60s speaking to a gathering of 30,000 hippies in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. So in this psychedelic collage you see Timothy Leary, ACID $1.00, hippies, shrooms, to renaissance like angels and female nudes, to hand-drawn Celestial bodies, to more recent pop culture references like Adventure Time and other things that I’m too ignorant to know. All in all it’s a “Life’s Sacred Dimensions” where you travel through space and time in the infinite culture of the mind.

The window where the colors are is the bright peaceful future. Over the shadows, his head holds up heavy emotions and watches different pieces of himself all tied up. He tries to put these inner shadows together, struggling with them in his own head, to have them under control. But he can’t stop them from hurting him. But in the end it will be all good. The sphere is where the energy’s kept constant and balanced and Frenetik Void sane 🙂

Darkness is one of our oldest fears. It feels cold and empty. But it can also cancel out the noise of the day and simultaneously bring completion. Every light source becomes precious and the feeling of warmth gets exaggerated.

An abstract, geometrical piece about darkness and light, blackness and red, through which emotions & feelings are expressed. In it, darkness occupies most of the space and surrounds the spare light in the middle as if to suffocate it. But the light is strong and glowing. Coldness is compensated by warmth (though little); noice is canceled and completed by emptiness. The balance of life is thus (a bit sadly) retained.

The cyberpunk high contrast color palettes brings the cyborg to its highest sci-fi aesthetic. The human body is dismantled like a machine, with its wires and parts exposed or emptied. The metallic like skin/surface reflects bright red light. The background is extending to the infinite that seems to be lost in the future void.
