His writings about morality and virtue, impacted so much in my life, he reflected what I consider to be an exceptional human being, so this artwork represents the moment in which Seneca ends up being worthy of Apotheosis.

Mind-soul-body, birth-life-death. Genesis. There are 3 important circles in this piece representing the omen of creativity, optimism, and curiosity, forming a trinity. The intention I put behind the circle is important in itself, the never ending pursuit of a circle, once created will never stop; the only option is to continue the 360 degree rotation. This all ties into the main subjects’ uneasy pose, not quite sure which direction to go, grounded by shapes and connected by arm. The colors, and additional elements add reassurance and support. Albeit, this is my interpretation, which I realized after completion of the piece. I had no concrete direction going into this piece, I trusted intuition and this is the conclusion: Explore, find your own interpretation.

The Ocean is my playground. It’s somewhere that I love to go and enjoy my spare time. The ocean is beautiful, and comes in so many different colours, it is also terrifying and furious. I particularly like this clean style where you only keep what is important. I tend to capture places devoid of human crowds or bulky details. Photographing the waves at sunset is something I particularly enjoy, especially when the wind comes from inland, it whips up froth and spray on the waves that reflects and diffuses the golden light. It’s all about the light, choosing the best time of day to photograph the seaside is extremely important, as the intensity, direction and color of the light vary throughout the day. I analyze the weather and depending on the conditions I chose the spot where I’m going to shoot, As soon as I watch a wave, I subconsciously abstract it from its most basic elements. I chose a minimalist style because this style of photography only constrains the imagination, I also want my images to exude serenity. For me a photo is only beautiful if it provokes or gives off an emotion. I try to bring a sense of escape where the viewer finds himself alone in the face of the immensity of the landscapes available to him.

Gretta at Simmons Hardware store Jeonpo-dong, Busan. I approached the wool-hat girl and asked her for a photo so I could paint her. – Hi, excuse me, could I take a picture of you? – Hahahaha She laughed at me. I thought it was because of my thick spanish accent, but later, she told me it was because she always laugh when she´s nervous. I showed her my Instagram so she could see that I´m an artist and not someone who´s trying to flirt clumsily. She pointed a work that I painted with a very strong light. Her mother, whom is from Korea, wanted to name her -Myeong-suk- that means pure light, but her dad, a Danish man living in London, didn´t like the idea. Finally she was named Grette. I wanted to joke about it and I asked her if she was living in a chocolate house with Hansel, but she didn´t find it funny. LOL. We had some rice liquor shots and started talking. The story about her mum´s family was tough, she didn´t want to go into detail but recommended me a book, “Grass”. I felt my lips dry because of the mask, so I took my lip balm. In Spain they sell them with some Agatha Ruíz de la Prada illustrations. Her eyes lighted up. She approached me, dumbfounded. I thought she was going to kiss me! OMG! But she wanted the lip balm because she collects lip balms, and that Spanish thing shoud be hers. She offered me a deal. She would pose for the picture in exchange for the lip balm. I considered it a good deal.

Brushwork Boulevard is a combination of analogue freehand painting and digital editing and compositing. The analogue painting is created with watercolour and is time lapsed – something seen often before though the difference is that there is no brush. It is easy to achieve this when painting and recording your strokes on a digital platform but the fact that the painting is analogue and done on paper makes it unique. The process is achieved by photographing the painting at different stages of completion but also to make it smooth there are frames where the brush has been digitally retouched from the image. Subsequently different parts of the sequence have been separated, retimed and re-composited back into the animation to achieve a smooth flow to the piece. The result is an original artwork that is animated from start to completion with the focus on the painting rather than on the brush and the method of the artist. original analogue painting is an add-on for the first collector. Today, on this equinox, we honor the balance of the light and the dark. We feel gratitude for the changes that come with the passing of time. For life comes at us in cycles of growth, harvest, death, and rebirth just as we see in nature. As the days get shorter and the nights grow longer, we descend into the darkness of the night. Facing our own inner darkness of the ego and the subconscious—we prepare for the birth of the Light within.

Skinless anatomical character shaped in my own image Symbolizes the analysis, the nakedness/honesty authenticity. The changing colors in a looped process are giving the same shape different analogies. Symmetry is the mirror in the sculpture, a mirror on the ground and a mirror in the animation loop. Symmetries are driving the Mind to search for some biological/anthropomorphic analogies. Breathing is a part of the artwork as the Artist/Creator is meditating on the visual process. This collection consist of 10 sculptures The movement recorded in the motion capture studio is implemented on a 3D Sculpted virtual character and I create an imprint of the body on specific frames of the animation. During this process the shapes are transforming into polysemantic abstract artwork. My whole Abstract/Surrealistic art is based on a similar philosophy of the Mind Patterns that was discovered by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. During the process of creating the artwork, I examine analogies that come to my mind and try to enhance them. Incorporating many associations in one single piece the artwork stays open to further analogies. Meditate on these Artworks to recognize your own Mind patterns.
