When I was a kid, my dad would always take me surfing with him. This morning routine has always had an impact on me and makes me look forward to getting up at sunrise and heading to the beach. On a crisp morning in Oceanside I happened to see an old green Buick cruising down the street and luckily was in the right place at the right time.

The area of transition between the world and the Pale is called “porch collapse”. The “Porch Collapse” series is heavily inspired by the concept of the Pale in the world of Disco Elysium. The Pale is achromatic, odourless, and featureless, the “enemy of matter and life”. Therefore, it can only be measured through the matter that surrounds it. It is not like any other – or any thing in the world. It is the transition state of being into nothingness. It is a “location without a defined location, into which one’s memories scramble with others’ and no one’s.” By the time I became familiar with the Pale I had already started working on the series, so my plan wasn’t to make a direct translation of it in photographic form. Finding out about the Pale only further solidified my idea. In a way, both the concept of the Pale and my work are ways to illustrate something that is mostly in the realm of intuition and outside of language and description.

“I can only say, there we have been: but I cannot say where. And I cannot say, how long, for that is to place it in time.” — T.S. Eliot Music and sound design by Planes Beyond, a project by UN Studios.

This artwork represents the fusion of my imagination and my passion for abstract northern landscapes. As my genesis piece on SuperRare, it vividly illustrates what videography and photography mean to me: A form of art that can be anything you imagine, inviting you to dream and inspire. — The aerial video of the Atlantic coast was taken during my 18th trip to Iceland in the summer of 2021. This island has become my second home over the past 10 years, and no other place inspires me more as an artist.

The city lay below, it’s glow spreading into the distance, lights shining like a handful of colored jewels scattered across the surface of a frozen pond. I had imagined what Tokyo would look like, had even seen it in some deeper dreams, but any expectations I had held were shattered by the technicolor reality that spread to the edges of my vision. Canyons cut across the cityscape, illuminated, glowing- as natural as the phosphorescence of algae on a shoreline, as artificial as the rigid construction of a circuit board. Up here we were alone. Below us was a sea of life, that ebbed with time like tides that fill the inlets, when the moon pulls the water into the small pools where life itself began. I’m not sure if I’ll ever forget the feeling of seeing this perspective, though I suspect someday I will. Though if I do, I write these words to bring me back, and make these images to remind me of that rare feeling- they will combine as a catalyst for a cascade of fading memories.

ABOUT – sheet glass, autumnal virginia creeper petals, hydrangea petals, printed paper, dried flowers, gold leaf, the artists fingerprints. 12809 x 18059 pixels – 103 X 141 cm – 40 X 56 inches @ 350dpi. 1/1 NFT + fine-art giclee print on Hahnemühle cotton rag – signed and titled by the artist. ABOUT ‘THE PORTRAIT AUTOMATIC’ SERIES – A collection of deconstructed, gravity-defying portrait sculptures – built from traditional fine-art materials and found objects collected from the streets of London, UK. Each artwork is composed and assembled directly onto my A3 scanner and captured in a single exposure in other-worldly macroscopic detail and incredible resolution. Once captured, the composition is broken down – and so exists only momentarily IRL before traversing eternally into the machine ether… Inspired conceptually in part by Metzger’s “Machine, Auto-Creative and Auto-Destructive Art” (1960s) as well as Jean Tinguely ‘Métamatic’ artworks (1950’s). NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION OR MY HISTORY WITH THE MACHINES – I began working with scanners in 2001 (aged 15), at school there was an Epson in the computer lab and so (working opportunistically so as to remain unseen by the IT teacher; who would no doubt feel my actions as a terrible abuse of his nice, clean scanner ???? I began to place dried plants, flowers, leaves and so on directly onto the scanner glass and make artworks… I discovered that images made in this way had a distinct depth and look to them – a sense of weightlessness, of floating and the ethereal… I had discovered ‘Scanography’ in my own way. The digital cameras available at the time were crap – 1 megapixel and prohibitively expensive. The scanner, in contrast, was relatively affordable at a fraction of the cost and capable of capturing imagery in far better resolution and detail. I had a job working weekends and holidays doing the washing up in a busy pub near to my mothers house. This income allowed me to save up enough £dosh to purchase my own cheap Epson A4 scanner. I could now produce my first significant series of artworks – ‘Pauses’ in the year 2002 – these works were shared on my website www.karborn.com and gained me some attention ‘on the web’ in the early 2000’s and so it all began… I was in. TODAY – The time feels right to reprise these artworks and present them as a coherent collection – the culmination of many years working with my scanner and my first significant body of fine-art masterpieces, perhaps I will build some more heads soon too… Thank you. K

Growing up in the Bay Area, I always dreamt of experiencing the snow days that I saw in movies. I had so much envy for the kids that got to stay home from school, build snowmen, and have snowball fights. During the pandemic, I moved out of California, and headed north to Seattle, WA. My first winter living here, I finally got to wake up to snow. I was overjoyed, and couldn’t wait to wander and experience snow where I lived for the first time. This year, it snowed again on Christmas night. The next morning, I went out and explored with my camera. I came across this vintage Mercedes and loved how the iconic hood ornament was mostly submerged in snow.

Inspired by “Mulholland Drive”, this photograph conveys a vision of being lost in time, two places at the same time, in a dream that has no beginning and no end. The dramatic look of the model overlayed with a scene shot outside of a motel at night gives us the perfect combination for what feels like a vision of past and present, of home and abroad. We all want to live in our dreams, this is one of mine.

Walking along the historical city streets in the warm glow of the afternoon light, this scene reminded me of how a photograph can create a bridge through time. In this case, a glimpse into old New York. Surrounded by a hopeful energy for better days ahead, one can’t help but reflect on how far it has all come.
On an immense psychedelic trip, I was awakened to the reality of love and death. My spirit left my body in an unknown realm.

A fantasy Zen garden, or as I would like to call it a ‘Happy Place’. One of the many happy places I travel to spiritually while meditating. A combination of my passions: Peace, Nature and Architecture. -Voxel Art – (made of 3D pixels/little cubes called “voxels”)

-Illuminate- Part 2 of 3 of my “Self Discovery” series that revolves around how I’ve grown to be the photographer that I am today. “You have to find what sparks the light in you, so that you, in your own way, can illuminate the world” I first visited this beautiful hidden chasm back in 2020, in a time where I was in a battle with my own mind and letting the darkness control my thoughts. I spent the year of 2020 and 2021 seeking whats brings out the light in me, the spark that will bring me true happiness. I found that spark ignites brightest when I’m out in nature documenting beautiful moments in time. When I discovered that light within me, my mind started to clear and my dreams became a reality. Everything around me began to illuminate and that self belief kicked in. It was clear that if I truly believed in the beauty of my dreams, anything is possible. The chasm represents the contrast between the light and the dark and how they can coexist. The darkness helps bring further attention to the light catching the waterfall above me. We need to know the darkness before we can appreciate the light. I revisited this beautiful chasm with a new mindset at the beginning of 2022, proving that when passion meets determination everything starts to align.

Timing is everything – This photograph by Till Janz explores the moment of simultaneity and what this implies which is contingency in a fast changing universe. However Germans, like the artist himself, are more practically orientated and call it simply “Arschbombe”.
Various aspects of beauty expressed as individual brushstrokes – the elusive moments of beauty, suspended in time and space. The series consists of Renaissance-inspired brushstroke artworks from 2018-2019, when I photographed clouds in New York and Italy, and painted in those places. ~ RMOB examines the value and meaning of beauty today, as the standards of beauty change, but the classical understanding of beauty remains universal and timeless. ~ Acrylic painting / digital.⠀
Standing at the foot of a canyon I am transformed into my final form. I am a celestial, divine being commanding the attention of the universe. As a makeup artist I aspire to not compliment but to completely transform. Over the course of eight hours I altered my hair, face and skin by hand to become one with the ephemeral beauty of a desert sunset. The colors of my makeup were individually created to complement this fleeting moment and were applied by hand. Even though the makeup eventually washed off my body and the sun swiftly tucked away, this moment is now immortalized. In this work I am glorious, I am divine. The Minotaur was a famous monster in Greek Mythology, the son of Queen Pasiphae of Crete and a white bull. His birth name, Asterion, in ancient Greek means ‘starry one’ and suggests a link with the bull constellation Taurus. He was imprisoned in the labyrinth at Crete by King Minos and fed a yearly sacrificial offering of Athenian youths. Eventually, the Minotaur was slain by the Athenian prince Theseus with the help of the KIng’s daughter Ariadne. Digital painting, 4954 x 6000 pixels.

Chasing Waterfalls.
3300x5138px Dream big. Chase your dreams, you might just reach them. Enjoy the ride no matter the outcome, anything can happen along the way, take risks. Hustle, focus on your craft, create for yourself. Ignore the noise and be patient. Believe. Chasing Waterfalls is the epitome of my career as an artist so far. In 2011, I stepped away from my agency job as a graphic designer to start my own freelance design business – a big risk, but one I needed to take to spread my wings and grow creatively. A leap of faith, the right decision. Fast forward 6 years, I turned my focus towards photography, discovering my love for aerial photography and the ocean – finding a whole new perspective of the world. I took my experience as a designer and applied it to my photography, developing my own unique style along the way. A new journey and dream to chase. Appeared in: * Eyes over the World – The Most Spectacular Drone Photography.Book by Dirk Dallas, (2020). * Ocean Film Tour 7 (2019).

Living in or visiting NYC, you learn pretty quickly that the whole city moves to its own beat. The flow of foot-traffic sucks you in and channels you to your destination. There are few day-to-day moments where you actually have some breathing space to break step. It’s only when you change your perspective, in this case vertically by 6,500 feet, you get to truly have a “No Step” moment. With the wind blowing through the cockpit, you get a moment to sit back and take it all in. When you see the city from above, you get to witness how much the concrete canyons resemble arteries and veins. The people of the city are the bloodstream, stepping their way through their daily lives in order to keep the City’s heart pumping. It’s in these moments you get to appreciate how special each day in this metropolis really is.

“The Whale’s Mouth” is the first piece in my “Atmøs” NFT collection. This is a series celebrating the elements in full flow. How small we all are in comparison. I love nothing more than capturing their unrestrained might at work. This particular piece depicts a rare “Whale’s Mouth” cloud formation/thunderstorm that threw lightning bolts, fierce winds, tornadoes, and hailstones the size of tennis balls across the East Coast of the US in 2018. One of nature’s most alarming and astonishing phenomena, the shelf cloud looming over Manhattan, is often referred to as a ‘whale’s mouth’ since the dark and ribbed formations give the impression of being consumed by a giant whale. Regarded as one of the most severe weather events on record to pass through the Hudson Valley, I wanted this NFT to expand on the story depicted in the image. Using the token itself as a canvas, I have inscribed details associated with the storm (pooled from news & area weather reports from the area) into the metadata. This link that NFT’s provide, a blend between art and technology, forms a unique record of a rare atmospheric event now immortalised on the blockchain.

Floating over the exuberant bathhouse interior, the pool teems with leaders drunkenly splashing each other as the scene narrows on a regal princess fanning her ghoulish face with a gargantuan pig feast behind her on the table before before zooming in completely on the jeweled center of her chest. Inspired by ancient mythology, modern myth, and contemporary celebrity culture, “The Bacchanalian Ones” compares the historical myth with a satirical mash-up of the powerful self-absorbed who preen and wallow in a banal spectacle of their own creation. In a fantastically opulent setting of unrestrained hedonism, political, religious, and military leaders with ghoulish, bouffonesque appearances are surrounded by social elite sycophants like the devotees of the cults of Bacchus and Dionysus. Solmi’s phantasmagoric world of whirling space, jerking movement, and oscillating facades that strive to overwhelm the viewer’s visual field is pushed to extremes in a new interactive Virtual Reality installation. Edition 1/1

Five years ago I left the city to come here and live in the countrysides. “It’s way better”, they said – “You can live a quiet life with your kid”. The thing is, problems will always find a way to reach you. It doesn’t matter where you are.

I create and photograph site-responsive sculptures in natural settings. This piece, made from mesh fabric suspended between off-camera support structures, was shot on 4×5 film in October of 2021 on the outer banks of North Carolina. Like all my work, “Tulle 034_v1” is a collaboration with nature. I constructed the installation, but the wind, light and other natural forces determined its shape, movement, and ultimately its personality. The resulting photograph is a visualization of forces we can’t normally see, and an attempt to tap nature’s raw creativity. 3000X2361, by Thomas Jackson

A mix-media piece representing my subconscious representation of our NFT present day. You have the degan, the organised overlord villain and the angels keeping order. It’s a messy landscape but as day shines and the false light upon perception shines we loop in a box, a desert wasteland.

And there I was going through another night when it struck me. I have become buried in broken dreams and let the darkness gradually isolate me from life. Keeping the pain inside for too long felt lonely but also warm, insecure yet safe. But tonight for a few tangent moments it all weirdly made sense. I had to hit rock bottom to finally get the clarity I was seeking.

In a world so numb, art can bring up feelings and emotions like nothing else. I made this piece for the viewer to feel one of many emotions, whether it’s fear, love, sadness, happiness, etc. If this makes you feel something, then it has served its purpose.

Bare, on the precipice, I stand. No past, no future. Just the moment itself, effortlessly unfolding. Vastness filled with energy that animates all. It calls to the wanderer within. So I step forth, into the unknown. Into the source of my essence. I become nothing. I become all.

For my SuperRare genesis, I decided to choose five cities around the world that helped fuel my passion for photography. The first is Dubai, a place I would’ve never dreamed to explore. Upon arrival, I met up with local photographers that I followed on the internet. We instantly bonded over good food, rooftops, and photography. After an endless search for the perfect rooftop, we found this one, a spectacular view I had never seen before. We immediately got kicked out by the building management, but I knew it would be special to witness this location at night. After multiple attempts, we finally made it. Life works in mysterious ways but one thing we cannot deny is the right to choose our own path. It can feel overwhelming at times, but with a little trust, you’ll be exactly where you’re meant to be. One road could lead to infinite opportunities..

It is the battle of two contrasting forces, ice and fire, that has shaped the primordial landscapes of Iceland over millennia. To be able to witness this eternal clash occurring in real-time is a rare privilege, and an outstanding opportunity to capture an incredible moment in the world’s violent yet breathtaking formation. I was blessed with such an opportunity in 2014 when the far-flung Highlands burst into an eruption at the site of Holuhraun. Not having shot a volcano eruption since the last event in 2010, I was thrilled to have another chance to capture the awe-inspiring fires of the earth on camera.

CHOO-CHOO, FUCKER! These are your trains of thought! Jamming the traffic in which you are caught, going in circles over the plot, making a messy knot, por favor. A kid seeks the elders amidst fire and smoke, they thought at first that the sight was a joke: Something happened, tippity toes, your mind turns your friends into your foes. Tip, tap, what’s your reaction? Tip, tip, are you quick on those shoes? Tip, toe, better act on the cues. Sorry, would you please excuse? What would you do if I asked you to choose? Would you refuse? Or would you hit snooze? Or lower you gaze and act all confused, counting the scores that might make you loose? What weighs more: your heart or your head? Your jumpy intuition or your mind made of lead? Armor’s for battle, not made for bed, you might as well try sleeping naked instead. “I’m only a child but I saw this coming, I heard the song that Cassandra was humming, I am to blame for what I’m becoming: a self proclaimed deaf lamb inclined to numbing” Before the law, made only for you, guardian and captive of the glass tomb you blew. Yet you have a choice, will you act on your will? Remember that someone always picks up the bill. A teary eye into river it broke and only then did the elder awoke: “Hush Kiddo, I’ll show you some tricks! Or don’t you wanna belong to those cliques? First rule of all: be quiet as mice! That’s a good thing if you take my advice. Take as much space as a small grain of rice, nobody likes those who take more than their slice. They call them lice! The chasers of price. You wouldn’t want that, you want to be nice! Now go play the part, say thank you and please, you won’t want the visit of the ethics police! What an ordeal when your soul gets revealed, the one thing you cared to mostly conceal. Are you ready to risk losing all your appeal? Nothing takes longer than reputations to heal” Counting the beans and tasting the waters, whistling over the sound of the slaughters, near death automata or sentient machine, do your calculations tell you how to feel? Tell me what’s real, don’t care for ideal best thing to do is breaking the seal. Strategy, fallacy, anxiously, blasphemy, casually, casualty, apathy, canopy. Worried by this and worried by that, you forgot to look at the place where you sat. “Oh shit, oh crap, ran over my cat”. At least now you have a new welcome mat. You trip making damage wherever you go as if all around you was just Dominó. Scrape your tongue but bitter won’t go: nothing’s as sour as words never thrown. In your eyes put shampoo but it will not wash what you once didn’t know: thought was sugar, twas ash. Stuck with glue like weed grew-grew, for one that you cut they sprouted in two, you’ll be eating your brains like a panda bamboo! So nutritious as coal, piss or poo. Choo-Choo, fucker! These are your trains of thought! Jamming the traffic in which you are caught! Going in circles over the plot! Making a messy knot, por favor! Thought you were fucking a big hot-shot, lost your yacht, left to rot, now all of your friends are freaking bots, and everybody else already forgot! So much to process, so much to chew! And this is only from one point of view. Nothing survives your thorough review, dissected memories seldom are true. Ask them askew, those who pursue, all your regrets are there waiting in queue! Weighing you down, careful don’t drown, this is what happens when you are a pawn. Pump-pump Pump-pump Pump-dump Pump-pump The child came to sit among the moon-flowers, distant sounds came of bells in the towers. “Would it have been different if I was to speak? Why is it so hard for me to open my beak? A creak and a sheik, not pretending mystique, truth is I am rather kind of weak. That I have a voice and don’t use it to speak. Oh shit, oh shit; oh shit, oh shit”

Dino’s Magical World is an interactive story that links Collectors to the World discovered by Dino. It merges three concepts: Storytelling – Gaming – Interaction. The Trip is an exclusive 1/1 Gate that Dino created during his journey. It is the fruit of many adventures and friendships made. This Gate enhances the vision of every viewer jumping in Dino’s World. The collector will become the owner of the Gate and will also play a 1/1 Game designed by MigratingLines allowing them to be partly involved in the storytelling. By manipulating the Magical Items, Dino discovered the third Magical Gate: The Trip. The real world is chaotic. Ein, the Master of Clarity, uses the power of vision to enable the visitors to open their eyes and focus on what matters most: happiness.

Nezha (哪吒) is a deity in heaven. But with planets, there are many demons. Heaven sent them to reincarnate in Middle Earth in the age of rainbow light. And this is the new story of the Holy Grail Scramble.

“Cocktail Queen” is the first work in the “Queens” series. Woman – her face, her beauty – is treated superficially throughout the history of humanity, her figure exalted and admired like a porcelain vase, my works show the real woman, with her strengths and weaknesses, who does not need to be rescued or pitied. These series emerges from a hypersensitivity to the beauty of the female figure, as an attempt to preserve its essence. Being a highly aesthetic work, and born viscerally, it responds to a need for calming an obsession – a strategy for operating as a “civilized Jean-Baptiste Grenouille,” and a vehicle through which I communicate. My ability to express emotions and concepts is directly proportional to my ability to translate them into the skin of the women I draw.

66 sequential images. Hand drawn. Digital. November – December 2021. Round Rock, TX and The Parts Unknown. This Masquerade, these depths pulled from somewhere, always in constant motion, even when standing still, the perfect machine I wanted it to be, even with cracks on the surface, strength and speed all the way down. These images all move forward, and represent the workings of a complex system. Live cinema, wherever it finds you, moving at the speed of thought, downstream in a flood of inspiration this burst forth. This is what Love looks like to me right now. I don’t know who will see it, when or where, nor do I care. Because this thing exists now, and so do I, still.

It had been a long time since the woman had lost her heart, her own essence. It had taken the form of a pear, and she had spent years trying to find it. She didn’t know it was possible to live without it, heartless, but it was, however, it was an empty life, always missing something. The woman heard that it’s necessary to find a quiet place within her own being, to find answers. It is said that when the view is clear, it is easier to see what is missing. She tried to find a place in nature that might represent what she felt inside. Her eyes closed. She tried to climb a mountain, where the view was clearer, and her heart may be visible. Instead, what she found was a jungle…// I. The Jungle Within // This artwork is specifically created for the genesis series “In the shadows”, and is based on “Tale of the Blue Pear”, a multi-awarded series about a woman who has lost her heart, and enters a parallel universe, hoping to find it again. There she finds talking animals, strange characters, giant beings, superpowers, as well as her own alter egos. With subtle elements of allegory and irony, this visual story raises questions about our own lives and the never-ending quest for inner peace and happiness.
