FUTURE
caep.io
Traditional painter living in the future or as Ray Kurzweil would explain; The Singularity. After finishing my studies as a welder by day and a painter by night, i continued my creative training at the mental institution of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam where they discovered my obsessive eye for detail and a borderline-neurotic commitment to the relationship between art and technology.

Distance Dance
Edition 1 of 1
‘Distance Dance’ finds it title from the social distancing guidelines outlined by the World Health Organization to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The subject explores his space, out-stretching his arms to embracing the emptiness. The infinity mirrors on either side represent both the monotony of self isolation, but also the seemingly infinite repetition of time & routine. The soft cylindrical fibers represent the catalyst of movement as it pulses through the body, creating a wave of expressive energy. The subject, overwhelmed with this new sensation of expression, becomes tangled within his own creation. The film combines motion-capture technology with dynamic simulations, and digital cinematography. Audio by Echolab.

Shaven Cactus
Edition 1 of 1
This is a photograph from a series about gender fluidity. I am working on poetry and images around the idea of what gender means to myself. I was reading an article about how body hair has such a strong impact on people’s perception of gender. I wanted to create images that question this topic without showing the obvious. This is how I thought about shaving a cactus instead of a leg. I like to work with serious topics, however by re-packaging them into humorous contexts it becomes very approachable and beautiful. This image has been published in the print issue of solarmag.es and was available in news stand around the globe. This is the actual file that has been used to print from and is one of my favourites.
